Biography
Jr. Mother Tonita L. Cody is the daughter of Mother Mazie L. Parks and the late Rev. Winston C. Parks. She is the third child of six siblings that include four sisters and one brother. In January 1993, she married the love of her life Deacon W. Robert Cody. They have two sons, Rob and Joshua, and one daughter, Juanita (Michael). She is the graduate of The Academy of Richmond County High School and Augusta Technical College. She has completed the School of the Prophets at LaHori Bible Institute. She is a graduate of Christian Life School of Theology (CLST). She is currently enrolled at Andersonville Theological Seminary.
She was privileged to join Parks Grove F.B.H. Church at the age of 9 years old under the tutelage of her father. Jr. Mother Cody was called into the ministry February 1996, after training she did her initial message on September 15, 1996. As a young minister of the gospel she served in many capacities. A few of them were establishing children's church ministry, Y.P.I. President, Southeast Georgia District Evangelist, and Youth Pastor.
In November 1998, Jr. Mother Cody was ordained and appointed to Parks Grove F.B.H. Church in Lincolnton, Georgia. She has implemented many different and exciting mininstries which include a Praise Team, "Reach out and touch" ministry, a bi-annual Women's Conference, and a drama team. She reserves every 4th Sunday as "Youth Day". Under her leadership many souls have been saved, sanctified, filled with the Holy Ghost and miracles manifested. In 2013, she was appointed Pastor of Parks Grove Augusta. We are now 1 church in 2 locations.
On June19, 2022 in the 33rd Quadrennial General Council of the Fire Baptized Holiness Church, she was appointed National Junior Mother of The Third Episcopal Diocese. Her favorite scripture is : “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
