Pastor, Humanitarian, Songwriter, Psalmist, Organist, Speaker, Preacher, Teacher, Bishop Alonzo L. Rodgers was born on the 22nd of January in Wilmington, North Carolina to the Late Mrs. Ruth Ann Rogers, and Reverend Alton Mackcell Rogers who were charitable benefactors in their church and their community, and to whom their son credit for his own integrity, discipline, and self reliance.

 

In June 2010 he was appointed Bishop of the 3rd Episcopal Diocese of the Fire Baptized Church in the Quadrennial General Council where he is the Presiding Prelate of Northeast Ohio, Southwest Ohio, Tennessee, Western North Carolina, Alabama, Southeast Georgia, Central Georgia, and the Virgin Islands District. 

 

Bishop Alonzo Rodgers is known for his dynamic preaching, practical teaching styles, and bringing God's Word to life through intense, always relevant sermons, and dramatic illustrated sermons. He communicates the message of Christ with sincerity while bringing it down to concrete realities. During these 40+ years Bishop Alonzo L. Rodgers has uncompromising and bold teaching of God's word which has changed the lives of many people, wherever he has traveled to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
